Category: School

School has indeed started.

Yes. School has started again. For a brief explanation: I like all my teachers. I don’t have any classes with any of my friends. And I got a new rat! Her name is Gypsy and she is adorable. She even gives kisses! The weather around here has been so weird lately. Freezing in the morning so you put on long pants and other cold weather gear then it warms up during the day and your still wearing your long jeans and sweater! *sigh*
I started reading a new book series! It is The Mortal Instruments and it is so GOOD!!!! The movie just came out. It was good but they changed so much. If anybody saw the movie, the whole incident with the flame thrower never happened. That was a cool scene though. I’m gonna stop talking about it before I spoil the whole thing. Lol. See ya!

SCHOOL!!!!!!

I cannot freaking wait for school to start. Here are my reasons.
1. well, I only really have one. That is… drumroll please… I have no life. I literally sit around at home all day and watch youtube and read buzzfeed (you guys should really check out buzzfeed btw). I need something to keep me from going insane!!! No, blogging does not count. I need time away from my computer. Unfortunately I have nothing else to do. Besides cleaning my room which sucks. I actually just got back from sleep away camp abut a week ago. Now I’m doing a stay-cation kinda thing where basically I just sit at home all day unless one of my friends takes me somewhere. That is also one of the reasons I haven’t been posting so much lately (I know, I know, all the excuses). I have nothing to post about and I feel like just posting about my everyday life is kinda narcissistic. Which is basically what I’m doing right now! Way to go me!! I have nothing else to say at the moment so… uh… See ya.

Update

Hey guys, I really don’t know if anyone is still reading. I know I haven’t been keeping up with my posts. I just thought I’d update you on what has been going on. First order of business, Kira ain’t doin to good. She’s still week and can’t wash her self effectively. Second, SCHOOL’S OUT!!!!! I am almost in SEVENTH GRADE!!!! OH YEAH!!!!! WHOOOOO!!!! Third… well…. uh….. those are kinda of the big things right now. Just thought I should try to post. I’ll try to do pic of the week tomorrow. Sorry I missed so many.

5th Graders (part 2)

That was awesome!!! I wasn’t sure what to do at first but then my science teacher came to the cafeteria (where all the volunteers were supposed to be) and he told me to go to his class and put down all the chairs and clean up the room. I asked him if any of the other volunteers were helping him too and he said he chose ME out of all the kids who asked him! I was so happy!! The 5th graders were really cool too. One of them got a bloody nose so I took him to almost every bathroom in the school (ok only two but still) until I finally took him to the office. It eventually stopped bleeding and I took him to the next class he was supposed to see. I got to lead my science teacher’s group to some of the classes. I made sure to tell them how awesome the school is! And how you get used to your locker and everything within the first few days. I’m so glad I volunteered. Too bad some my friends couldn’t come *cough*katiekat522*cough*. I hope we can do it next year too! See ya.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much. I’ve just been really… uh… I won’t lie, I’ve been really lazy.
I just thought this was a special enough event that it deserved a blog. The 5th graders from almost all the elementary schools around the district come once a year to get a tour of my school to see where they will be going next year. And every year 6th graders get to sign up to lead them around in their tour. I thought it would be fun so I signed up! Every body else won’t be at school because the teachers need to show the little kids their class. It will be so fun! What only stinks is that only one of my friends is going and I don’t even know if we’ll lead the same group. We’re just supposed to take them to every class and show them how awesome my school is though how awesome we are. And WE GET PIZZA AFTER!!! lol. It’s gonna be great.

In school I’m doing a project on how people wrote in ancient times. I finished the paper but now I have to do a presentation on it!! I’m gonna make a prezi (kinda like a power point). I just figured out that I’m gonna do a prezi but I don’t have the paper with me and I have to make the presentation correspond with the paper. I can’t even get on my server because there’s an effing firewall in the way! So guess what. I have to redo the whole paper and then do the presentation! I can’t do anything else today because I have Sunday school and then I have to stay up all night to write. And the whole thing is due tomorrow!!!!! I’M SO PISSED AT MYSELF!!!!!! *Sigh*

More About The Kush

OMG!!! Remember that post I did about the new Kush temple being excavated and how amazingly awesome it all is? Well guess what!! The director of the excavation site came to my school to talk all about what he’s been finding!!! Man, is it good to have blogs and friends who can make things happen! Apparently in the temple the Kush dug tunnels to rooms under ground! They had stone beams and pillars holding everything up. The team excavating it had to be really careful because the ceiling of the underground chambers could collapse any minute! They’re planning on re-enforcing it so it won’t fall on them next season. He was also talking about how they were able to build pyramids better than the Egyptians! There’s one pyramid right by the temple that no one has ever been inside (with in the last thousand or so years) so they might be excavating that as well. Why has it not been excavated you ask? Because once people dug down to the doors of the chamber, they found a huge crack going all the way up to the surface and it’s really dangerous. I don’t want to spoil it too much because national geographic might be doing a movie on it but I hope you guys found it interesting! See ya!

Fight Hunger!!

At school today my french teacher told us to go on a site called freerice.com. Guess what the site is for! You got it! Fighting hunger!!! You select a subject (english, math, geography, stuff like that.) and then it gives you a question. For the subject English it might say “emulate means…” then you would have to select one of the options it gives you. It’s kinda like a super long multiple choice test. And I’m not even at the best part, drumroll please… for each question you get right, it donates 10 grains of rice to the World Food Program to help fight hunger! I know that’s not much but you can rack up a lot of rice pretty fast! I think that it was a great idea someone had. Fight hunger, people!! See ya!

Venting Time

You guys really don’t have to read this post if you don’t want to. It’s just me venting to the world about my crapy day. Here it goes, my math teacher spent half the hour blabbing about sports and then got all irritated when we couldn’t finish our test! Then I was almost late to choir when he made me collect all the papers right before the bell that wouldn’t have been right before the bell if he had stopped blabbing about March Madness! As a result of that I had to take my binder to choir (which my teacher HATES!) And in french no one would shut up so the teacher got all annoyed and if anyone talks out tomorrow they get a detention! Thanks a lot talkative children! And don’t you just hate it when people are hypocrites? What ever happened to “do what you preach then preach what you do”? You don’t tell someone not to do something and then go and do it! Because 1. It demeans you to the personI (I know that was horrible grammar, but you know what I mean right?). And 2. it’s just not a good habit! Well that, My friends, was my vent for the day! I’ll try not to make a habit of this! See ya! (P.S this was yesterday. But like I said, i will not make a habit of this.)

Detention!!

Yep, that’s right, I got detention. I was late to chior, again. I forgot my folder in my locker so I told my teacher and then I went to go get it. As I was going to get it the bell rang. She’s given me a tardy for that before. At my school if you get three tardies you have to serve detention. I’m not worried though. I hear that it’s just sitting in a room staring at a wall. I’m pretty good at that! The only thing that sucks (sorry dad) is that we aren’t aloud to read or do homework or anything. But I guess that’s the definition of detetion. I’ll post some more after I go tomorrow. See ya!
